Narrow tapes for fences / for embossing – installation
You can install narrow fence tapes quickly and without problems, without special skills or tools. All you need are scissors, a measuring tape, and some goodwill.
The fence tape for embossing can be installed directly from the roll by threading it sequentially through the mesh of the panel fence according to your own arrangement, e.g., every 2nd or 3rd mesh, and cutting to the desired length.
- Measure the length of the span with a measuring tape,
- Check if all spans have the same length.
- Prepare the first strip – cut the desired length using scissors or a knife, increasing its length by about 1.5%. Depending on the threading system, every few meshes, this is usually 3 cm for a panel length of 250 cm.
- Install the first strip in the central part of the panel and check if it fits perfectly in length.
- Prepare the next strips and install them like the first; panel fences are symmetrical, so all will fit perfectly.
- The strip has appropriate stiffness and does not require the use of mounting clips; simply tuck the end of the tape so that it rests against the wire.
- The tape is smooth with delicate ribbing and highly resistant to dirt, so it does not require any maintenance. However, if it gets dusty over the years, you can refresh it using a garden hose or pressure washer. High water pressure will not harm it.
