Installation – How to Install PVC Handrail Cover?
The handrail cover is made of PVC – the material is plastic and retains its shape, making it (after heating) flexible enough to be easily installed even on a curved flat bar. After cooling, it returns to its original shape.
- For easier installation, it is recommended to soak the profile in bath-temperature water for a few minutes before applying.
- After soaking, you can easily apply it to the handrail flat bar. Apply the profile gradually – in small sections, starting from the top.
- You can trim the excess handrail profile with specialized scissors or a plastic saw.
Note:
- The handrail strip should be installed on a properly prepared flat bar, whose surface must be clean and smooth, without thick layers of paint, bulges, and irregularities that occur during the welding of plastics,
- The profile must not be stretched in length, as the material will return to its original shape and length upon cooling,
- Installation on curves may require more intense heating of the profile from the inside, which will facilitate installation – for this purpose, use a stream of warm air from a hairdryer,
- Due to the shrinkage of the material from which the product is made, it is recommended to leave a longer section at the end – about 3-5 cm. Only after it has completely cooled should it be trimmed to the correct length

Installation - How to install a PVC handrail profile?
The handrail profile is made of PVC – a material that is flexible and retains its shape, making it (after heating) elastic enough to be easily mounted even on a curved flat bar. Once cooled, it returns to its original shape.
- Clean the flat bar – its surface should be clean and smooth.
- To make installation easier, place the profile in a container with warm water for about 10–15 minutes before mounting it.
- Mount the profile gradually – in small sections, starting from the top. To facilitate the installation, you can use a metal tool such as a flat rod or spatula to evenly position the profile on the flat bar.
- Once cooled (10–15 minutes), you can cut off the excess profile using special scissors (QUEST) or a plastic saw.

- The handrail profile should be installed on a properly prepared flat bar, whose surface must be clean and smooth, free from thick layers of paint, protrusions, and irregularities caused by welding.
- The profile must not be stretched in length, as it will return to its original shape and length once cooled.
