Installation of LZi LP elements step by step
LZ and LP profiles are installed at the stage of finishing the stairs, after laying the cladding, after installing the remaining elements of the stair system - they are used to finish it on landings or walls. For their installationNo specialized tools are required - PVC assembly glue and a plastic saw or scissors are enough.Thanks to this, installation is quick and the resulting finish is durable and aesthetic.
- Step 1:Thoroughly clean and degrease the surface on which the element will be mounted.
- Step 2:Check which variant is suitable for your stairs:
- LZ– intended for stairsopen, as a complement to angle profilesZ1 and Z2.
- LP– intended for stairsclosed, as a complement to flat profilesP1 and P2.
- Step 3:Apply appropriate amountassembly glueonto the strip surface.
- Step 4:Match the element to the previously installed elements and set it in the right position.
- Step 5:Press the strip firmly against the substrate to ensure a permanent connection.
- Step 6:Allow the glue to fully cure according to the manufacturer's recommendations.

P1 and P2 profiles are just two of many elementsQuest® Stair System— a patented set of PVC profiles that includes everything you need to completely finish the stairs. Stair nosings, Z1 and Z2 angle profiles, finishing strips - each element of the system matches the others in terms of color and dimensions. Effect? Stairs that look like a whole, not a bunch of random products.
The QUEST stair system is:
- Z1, Z2– profiles intended for finishing the external sides of steps, ideal for open stairs, emphasizing their modern appearance.
- P1, P2– solutions dedicated to closed stairs, enabling aesthetic masking and protection of the side edges of the steps.
- 730-PMW (48x42mm, inserted into the carpet) 730-RD (40x40mm, inserted into the carpet), 730-RGP (50x42mm, applied to the surface)– fitted stair nosings mounted on the front of the step, which protect the most frequently used edge and protect against falls.
- LZ, LP– wall and corner strips intended for finishing landings and longer staircases, ensuring a consistent appearance of the entire project.

INSTALLATION – Instructions
- installation should be carried out at room temperature. In case of low temperatures, the profiles should be warmed up before installation using warm air or water
- clean and level the surfaces as well as the sides of the stairs
- install wall profiles – P1, P2
- install the wall system strip LP if the step is long enough that the corner profiles P1 and P2 do not meet
- install the covering on the risers
- install the stair nose – applies to RD, PMW
- install the covering on the tread
- install the stair nose – applies to RDP
- install the external system elements Z1, Z2
- install the wall angle strip LZ if the step is long enough that the corner profiles Z1 and Z2 do not meet
Notes:
- cut the profile to the exact length using a knife or scissors QUEST®
- apply assembly adhesive according to the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions or use QUEST® double-sided mounting tape
- elements Z1, Z2, P1, P2, LP and LZ – should be covered with adhesive over the entire surface
- stair noses PMW, RD, RGP – should be covered with adhesive over the entire upper surface (do not glue the vertical edge to the step)
- press firmly onto the step and allow the adhesive to dry
- when using QUEST® mounting tape, the stairs can be used after 3 hours.
